Pyrol Frozen foods

Pola Flooring have carried out numerous projects over the years for Pyrol Frozen Foods based in the Midlands, mainly consisting of Polyurethane Screeds and Coving in contrasting colours as specified by the client.  This is to define areas within their production facility for the various stages in the food processes, from the raw products through to the cooked meals.

The Polyurethane Screed system is ideal for the Food Industry, because it provides a hygienically sealed floor when laid in conjunction with a coved skirting, it is steam cleanable, heard wearing and can also be applied in one day (depending on the size of the area), reducing the down time for the client.

Slaters Ales

Slater’s Ales of Stafford recently relocated their brewery to larger premises in order to cater for an increase in demand for their range of real ales, which includes the popular ale ‘Top Totty’. The premises required a new 300m² resin floor to be installed, and it was vital that the chosen system would meet the high standards of hygiene critical within the UK food and drinks production industry.

Leading specialist applicators of resin flooring, Pola Flooring Services Limited were chosen to install the new floor and they had no hesitation in teaming up with renowned manufacturers of premium resin flooring systems, ARDEX UK.

Already proven throughout numerous similar environments to be fast track, durable and easily cleaned, ARDEX R 90 P Rake and Trowel Grade Heavy Duty Polyurethane Screed was specified as the perfect resin floor system. Available in a range of colours, ARDEX R 90 P is supplied as four components in pre-measured packs for easy on-site mixing, and its special formulation provides an easily worked system that can be applied rapidly with a pin rake and trowel, making it more efficient to apply than a traditional heavy duty polyurethane screed. The cured system forms a tough, pigmented layer from 4mm up to 9mm thick, ideally suited for use in aggressive areas where a seamless finish is required and maximum cleanliness is essential.

Handmade Flapjack

Pola Flooring were approached by Handmade Flapjack of Coventry to recommend and apply a coating to a high traffic production area which needed to comply with H & S Food and Hygiene regulations.

Within the brief were areas that would require specialist cleaning , coved skirtings and heat resistant areas.
